About

The Canadian Council of Cardiovascular Nurses (CCCN) is a national, not-for-profit organization. Foundational to the organization are the pillars of health promotion and advocacy, professional education, research, and excellent membership services.

CCCN is composed of nine (9) provincial and territorial divisions, each with its own executive and committee structure. These Divisions promote, develop and facilitate ongoing events and initiatives that support the national pillars. CCCN supports its members in a variety of ways.

CCCN works closely with, and is affiliated with the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA), the Canadian Association of Critical Care Nurses (CACCN), the Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS), the Canadian Heart Failure Society (CHFS), the Canadian Heart Rythm Society (CHRS) and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC).

CCCN is an Associate member of the CNA and is recognized as a specialty organization by the CNA certification program. CCCN maintains the Cardiovascular Nursing Standards on which the CNA Cardiovascular Certification exam is based.
