Global Hearts, Safer Recoveries: Co-design collaboration for Postoperative Cardiac Care Webinar
Dima Nasrawi RN, BNur, M Advanced Practice, Adv. Dip. CosDermSc, Grad Dip. of Health Research, SFHEA, PhD candidate
Dima Nasrawi is the Bachelor of Nursing Course Coordinator at Southern Cross University in Australia and an Early Career Researcher in cardiovascular nursing. Dima is in the final year of a PhD, with research focused on implementation science, co-design, consumer engagement and postoperative cardiac care. Dima serves as Secretary of the Australian Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation Association Queensland Committee and works with national and international partners on cardiovascular health initiatives. Dima is currently leading a Trans-Pacific project to co-design an implementation toolkit for safer postoperative cardiac care in older patients.
Dima’s Program of Research: focuses on improving perioperative care for adults undergoing cardiac surgery, an area of growing importance in clinical practice and health policy. Her work is grounded in implementation science and draws on theoretical frameworks such as Participatory Action Research (PAR). This research responds directly to questions arising from clinical practice and aligns with national and international priorities to enhance surgical outcomes and reduce healthcare system burden.
