CCCN, in partnership with the Canadian Amyloidosis Nursing Network (CANN), is proud to present our webinar series on ATTR Cardiac Amyloidosis. Designed for healthcare professionals, this series highlights the critical role of early recognition, timely diagnosis, and coordinated, multidisciplinary cardiac amyloidosis care, empowering nurses to connect the dots and improve patient outcomes across the continuum.

The first webinar in the series will focus on cardiac amyloidosis: recognition across systems. This one-hour session includes an expert presentation by Morgan Krauter NP, PhD and Kelly McNabb NP, followed by an interactive discussion period.

Presenters:

Kelly McNabb is a Nurse Practitioner at Kingston Health Sciences Centre in the Heart Function Clinic. She completed her NP program at University of Toronto, and her nursing degree at University of Northern British Columbia. She has clinical experience in Cardiovascular surgery, cardiology, and heart failure providing advanced clinical care for patients with complex cardiovascular disease.

Kelly is actively involved in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives, with research interests that include cardiac amyloidosis, guideline-directed medical therapy implementation, care pathway development, and strategies to reduce hospital readmissions. She has contributed as a co-investigator and is committed to advancing evidence-informed nursing practice.

Dr. Morgan Krauter is the Lead Nurse Practitioner at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, specializing in advanced heart failure care. She recently completed her Doctor of Nursing degree at the University of Toronto, where her research focused on home intravenous diuretic therapy for heart failure. Morgan is passionate about integrating supportive, community-based approaches into cardiac care, which has informed the development of her clinic’s unique role in amyloidosis work-up across the Simcoe Muskoka region of Ontario.
